Magnesium is a mineral which is in abundance in the body. Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems which regulate many diverse biochemical reactions in the body including protein synthesis, energy production, muscle and nerve function, control of blood glucose and regulation of blood pressure. Magnesium contributes to the structure of bone, in fact 50 - 60% of magnesium in the body is found in the bones and the rest in the soft tissues.

Magnesium is required for synthesis of the powerful antioxidant Glutathione as well as for synthesis of DNA and RNA. It also plays an active role in carrying potassium and calcium ions across cell membranes, which is necessary for nerve impulse conduction, muscle contraction and to maintain a normal heart rhythm.

Magnesium levels in the body are regulated predominantly by the kidneys

Each 5ml ampoule contains:

500mg Magnesium sulfate hydrate (100mg/1ml)
